Clergy
Fr. Brett Figlewski is the first Rector of the newly-constituted spiritual community of St. Paul's Church with Christ Church Chapel. Fr. Brett grew up and still resides in Litchfield County. Having worked as a lawyer serving the needs of victims of gender violence and LGBTQ+ individuals in New York City, Fr. Brett began serving St. Paul’s Church in 2018 and Christ Church in 2023. Fr. Brett has been committed to leading our community in new and creative ways to make the good news of God’s healing and transforming love newly-relevant to God’s people in the 21st century.
Parish Administrator
Laurie VanDuyne has served as the Parish Administrator since March 2025 where she handles all administrative tasks that support the church's mission. With over 40+ years of experience in the corporate world, she brings a passion for organization and a heart for service. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her family and her two dogs, to watch sports, and to garden. She has lived in Goshen for 15 years and has been married to her husband for 11 amazing years and has seven grandchildren.

Organist & Choir Director
Gary Evans studied organ and piano performance along with music composition at Hartt College of Music in West Hartford, CT. Additionally, he holds a Master of Engineering degree from Bridgeport University. Starting in 1982, Gary held positions at several Episcopal churches, including four separate tenures at St. Paul's Church in Bantam. Gary has also had a long career working with medical device companies on quality assurance, quality engineering, and regulatory affairs. He resides in Torrington, CT, with his wife, and together they have three children and eight grandchildren. In addition to a great love of the classical repertoire, Gary appreciates modern praise music.
Stephanie Biello
Stephanie serves as an additional organist at our parish. She holds a M.A. from SUNY Purchase in Studio Composition and a B.A. from Western Connecticut State University in Music Education. She is the proprietor of The Southbury Music Studio and actively writes and performs original compositions. Stephanie also performs with her wedding band No Big Deal, as well as her original beach band Bahama Mama and the Painkiller.
Our Vestry
Members of the Vestry are Church leaders who undertake the spiritual practice of listening together for the ways God is calling the Church to respond to today’s needs for love and healing in the wider community and the world.
